About the Project
The lobby anchors a hotel on Al Marjan Island. The operator's primary concern was handling high guest volume at check-in and check-out without the arrival sequence feeling processed or transactional.

Design Direction

Arrival as a sequence, not a single room.

The design treats the approach to the lobby as a series of framed views and material changes, slowing guests down gradually rather than presenting the whole space at once. Seating zones sit off the main circulation path rather than facing it directly, so the room stays calm even at capacity.

In Summary
An arrival sequence designed around how guests actually move, not how the space photographs from one point.
